This Website Is Under Construction: We have populated it with ways you can get involved and the start of our resource guide. Please check back as we complete the site.
End Homelessness VT is currently working to assist people who are experiencing unsheltered and sheltered homelessness in Vermont. Recently a large number of Vermonters were unsheltered from motels by the State of Vermont and we are working to support our neighbors and community members with resources, direct aid and more. We also provide support through the initial voucher and renewal process when people are having a problem getting renewed or are wrongfully removed from the cohort. Email us at [email protected] for questions or if you are in need of support.

Ways We can Help:
- If you are having trouble renewing your voucher, need help remaining qualified, are currently unsheltered, or if you are being exited from a hotel, we can talk you through the process, potentially support you in the esd office and in some instances help you through a fair hearing if needed.
- If you are living with a disability and need ongoing or initial support in accessing or retaining a voucher or reasonable accommodation, we can support you in that process.
- If you need help setting up a reasonable accommodation due to your disability or medical condition, we can support you through that process.
- If in your meeting with the Economic Services and are told that you need further documentation, we can support you in gathering this documentation or help explain what you need.
- If in your meeting with Economic Services you are told that you are not engaged in Coordinated Entry, we can support you in addressing this need or explain the process and your rights.
- We may be able to represent you in a fair hearing if after meeting we determine that is the best course of action. *Please note that we are not attorneys, we would represent you as advocates.
- If you are struggling with the hotel or need to be moved to a different hotel, we can help you through that process at your renewal date.
- If you are a hotel and someone is not a good fit and would like help transferring their voucher at the renewal date, we may be able to help support you or the guest through that process. Please wait to exit people until their renewal date & talk to us well in advance of that date
- If you are experiencing unsheltered homelessness, we can talk you through and see if there is a qualifying reason that you can access hotel/motel shelter.
- If you end up outside, we can help you with supplies depending on what you need & make sure you know the resources available in your area.
- If you have an emergency need, we MAY be able to help.
- We can help you find ways to tell your story IF you want to.
- We do believe that people deserve to know the rules and their rights and we will inform you of them throughout your need for assistance and benefits. If you need help understanding the rules or your rights, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
- We do collect data to help support advocating for and educating about better systems for non-congregate shelter and housing going forward. This is entirely voluntary.
- We will be offering a statewide resource guide on this site soon.
What to know about us:
- We believe that EVERYONE deserves shelter and as an organization we are working toward a housing first model in both shelter and permanent housing.
- We believe that EVERYONE deserves to know their rights and we will inform people of their rights throughout their need for benefits.
- We are filling a gap in services, but we can not replace what your local service providers have to offer you. When possible, you should continue to work with them as well. They have the resources to do the work that they are doing and we want to support them in this. There may be different resources available to you if the current one is not working out and we are happy to direct you to that when needed.
- We believe that all people deserve choice and autonomy in the support systems that they engage in. On a rare occasion we will support non-traditional case management for people who have an extreme gap in support services, until we find a provider to fulfill that need.
- We are a small organization and therefore, it may take us a day or two to get back to you, but we will respond.
What we do not do:
If you are a program participant and need assistance please reach out to our hotline either at 802 489 6534 or by email at [email protected] . Our fastest response is by email or text. Everything we offer is not required and is entirely voluntary. And declining to participate will not prevent you from access to our support in the future.
If you are a provider and have questions about what we do, please reach out to us directly, we would be happy to meet and discuss more. We respect the autonomy and self direction of all people experiencing homelessness and will never deter them from seeking multiple support options. We prefer a team approach and look forward to connecting with you.
- We don’t provide traditional case management, we do provide non traditional case management for people living with disabilities and for the limited exceptions above.
- We are not a housing provider. We do work on housing solutions as part of your team or with people living with complex medical needs and disabilities. We will work in concert with your other providers to help offer you support or emergency assistance.
- We are not ESD or the state. We will, as advocates and experts in the field, work to support you through the voucher process and we will work to look for ways you qualify, but we can not control the outcome.
