Let's End Homelessness Together

End Homelessness Vermont is a Lived Experience Expert led organization that works toward the goal of ending poverty and disability discrimination and homelessness in Vermont. To provide a data driven safety net that is trauma informed and led by compassion, empathy and the idea that housing is a human right.

July 1st 473 of the most highly medically vulnerable adults, pregnant people and children will be exited to the street. Unlike other exits, this one is ONLY the most highly medically vulnerable households and children and pregnant people. This will include people in wheelchairs, people on oxygen, people with in home nursing. It will include people in active cancer treatment, in treatment for severe lived, kidney and heart conditions. This will include people who are homebound and bed bound. End Homelessness Vermont is doing everything that we can to help people, but we cannot do it alone. In addition to this, the state has decided not to fund hotel case management and street outreach. This means that people are being referred to our organization in large number and there is no way we can do all of this alone. The mass un-sheltering has not even begun yet and our hotline is overwhelmed. People are scared.  Our number 1 need is money to help people survive! This is an all hands on deck moment and we need your hands. Please help us help those who need us the most.
Here are some examples of what your contribution can do to help:
  • 4 contributions of $25 ensures that we can get a tent for a family in need.
  • 1 contribution of $80, allows us to support a family in an emergency with 1 night of a hotel.
  • $250 can provide gas cards or small battery generators for people living out of their car or outside so that they can have heat or use medical devices.
  • $500 can help support large generators for people on oxygen or with electric wheelchairs.
  • $1000 or more can help us to be able to hire staff to meet incoming needs and support longer hotel stays.
The truth is that we need to raise a lot right now so every dollar will count!
